Veloro Private Limited ("Veloro," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Veloro mobile application and website (together, the "Platform"), a hyperlocal e-commerce and local delivery marketplace connecting customers with nearby local merchants. This Privacy Policy explains what information Veloro collects from Customers, Merchants, and Riders who use the Platform, why we collect it, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and the choices and rights available to you. This policy is written to reflect how the Veloro Platform actually works. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Platform.
Information We Collect
We may collect account information, location data, order history, payment-related information and other details needed to provide delivery, customer support and account services.
How We Use Your Information We use the information described above to: Create and manage Customer, Merchant, and Rider accounts (via Firebase Authentication) Show Customers relevant nearby stores and products based on location and merchant delivery radius Enable Customers to place orders and Merchants to receive, accept, and prepare them Assign and coordinate Rider deliveries between Merchants and Customers Verify Merchant identity and shop legitimacy using submitted documents, so that only genuine, approved merchants appear on the Platform Maintain order history and status for Customers, Merchants, and Riders Communicate with you about your account, orders, or verification status Maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the Platform Comply with legal obligations We do not use your information to build advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers.
How Information Is Shared Veloro shares information only as necessary for the marketplace to function: Between Customers and Merchants: When you place an order, the Merchant receives the order details, delivery address, and Customer contact information needed to prepare and hand off the order. With Riders: Once an order is assigned for delivery, the Rider receives the pickup location (Merchant), drop-off location (Customer), and order details needed to complete the delivery. With our service providers: We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage) as our backend infrastructure provider. Firebase processes and stores data on our behalf, under Google's own infrastructure security and data-processing terms. For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Veloro, our users, or the public. Business transfers: If Veloro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy. Veloro does not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Retention We retain account, order, merchant, and rider information for as long as your account is active and as needed to: Maintain accurate order history and merchant/rider records Resolve disputes, complaints, or support requests Comply with applicable legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements If you request account deletion (see Section 8), we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as order/transaction records) for legal, accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes for the period required by applicable law. Security We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including: Using Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in Applying Firestore and Firebase Storage security rules to restrict access to data based on user role (Customer, Merchant, Rider, Admin) and ownership Restricting administrative access to verification documents and platform data to authorized Veloro personnel No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy The Veloro Platform is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has created an account or provided us personal information, we will take steps to delete that information and close the associated account.
Your Rights and Choices Depending on your role and applicable law, you may: Access the personal information associated with your account Correct inaccurate profile, shop, or product information through the app Request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at the email address below (subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 5) Withdraw consent to location access at any time through your device settings — note that this may limit or prevent core features such as store discovery, delivery-radius matching, and order delivery Update or withdraw merchant verification documents by contacting Veloro support, subject to re-verification requirements To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address veloro.service@gmail.com
Cookies and Local Storage Website: The Veloro website may use minimal functional cookies or local browser storage necessary for the site to work correctly (for example, remembering basic display preferences). We do not currently use cookies to track you across third-party websites for advertising purposes. App: The Veloro app uses Firebase Authentication's secure local session storage on your device to keep you signed in between sessions. This is used only to maintain your login session, not for third-party tracking or advertising.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Veloro evolves. When we do, we will update the date above and provide notice where required.
